Biography

Patsy has won many top awards in National Art Competitions including the “Best of Show” in the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibit. 

Patsy has been juried to hold numerous “Signature Memberships” across the nation in the National Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Oklahoma, Kentucky Watercolor, Kansas Watercolor and Association of Nebraska Art Clubs.

As an art workshop instructor, Patsy has taught creativity and informative “Watermedia Art Workshops”. Patsy has served as a lecturer, panelist and judged art exhibits in many areas including the Colorado Watercolor Society. 

Patsy’s work can be seen in “American Artist” and “The Artist Magazine”.  She has been featured in numerous best of watercolor books by ” Watson Guptil and North Light Publishers, in the Splash watercolor books “Splash 7”, “Splash 9”,  North Light Publisher. 

Patsy Smith is a professional conceptual artist born and raised in the heartland of Nebraska. She has served on many boards and art councils around the state including Creativity Unlimited Arts Council, North Platte, NE. The city of North Platte recognized Patsy for “Salute to Women of Achievement for Outstanding Accomplishment in the Cultural Art Field.
